Many people are surprised to learn that St Matthew’s School serves not only its local community in Westminster, but our children come to us from the neighbouring boroughs of Wandsworth, Lambeth, Southwark, Camden.
For some this is a short journey over one of the bridges, and for others it might be a longer journey from the commuter belt because their parents work locally in Whitehall, Westminster or Victoria. With Breakfast Club starting at 7.45am, and After School Club finishing at 6pm, working parents are well-catered for at St Matthew’s School.
If you are interested in sending your child to St Matthew’s we would be delighted to meet you! Please arrange a tour through the school office (firstname.lastname@example.org or 020 7504 0500); dates and times of tours are arranged to suit individual families. Mrs Jewitt, The Headteacher, or one of the Assistant Headteachers will show you around the school and answer any questions you have.
St Matthew’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided School. For a place in our Nursery Class, parents must complete the school’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF) and return this directly to the school office. You do not need to apply through your local authority for applications to Nursery.
For a place in our Reception Class or to apply for an in-year place in any of our other year groups (Years 1-6) parents/carers need to apply through their Local Authority’s admissions team and must also complete the Supplementary Information Form for Admission to St Matthew’s School.
