Ms Green has also shared some information about a new ‘500 Words’ competition:

500 Words celebrated its 10th anniversary during its 2020 Final on Friday 12th June.
Hot on its heels, the new competition issues a brief intended to encourage important conversations at home, at school and across the nation, on the themes and issues emerging from the Black Lives Matter movements around the world. The initiative encourages children to tap into their own creativity and imagination, using storytelling to share their experience and understanding of how different ethnicities and cultures interact.
Please click on the link here for more details.
If you would like to submit your child’s entry yourself, please do so by the deadline stated on their website. If you would like the school to submit the story, then please email it to the school office by Wednesday July 1st 10am. It must be a word document, in order for us to submit it.

And, it is National School Sports Week this week. Miss Corrick has shared these resources for you to try at home. Let us know if you try any of these activities!

Thank you Namira (Year 4) for the detailed drawing of a toucan that has been chosen as the theme for this week’s Home Learning.

Thank you too to Eira (Year 2) who has been very creative and made a rainbow candle using old wax crayons:
