The SEND Code of Practice 0-25 years gives guidance on meeting pupils’ special needs. Therefore as a school we realise the importance of meeting the educational needs of all pupils at St Matthew’s.

At St Matthew’s, we do our best to meet the needs of each individual in each class to the best of our ability, with or without a formal assessment. To help us achieve the best possible outcomes for pupils with specific special educational needs, we work closely with a range of outside agencies and professionals: for example, Educational Psychology, School Nursing Service, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Drama Therapy (in partnership with Roundabout) and specialist Autism outreach support.
