We enjoy Science and Engineering at St. Matthew’s and we make it as fun as possible by going on many different trips (eg. to The Centre of the Cell, the Science Museum, Westminster City School Science Fair), by using our local environment and parks to study nature and by making links with other subjects.
Every year, we hold a Science and Engineering Week in school.
In 2010, children made structures and bridges from recycled materials for a whole school competition.
In 2011, children made Dream School buildings, which were judged by an architect from Sir Robert McAlpine.
We also have a Science Fair, where each class shows what they have been learning in Science:

Young Engineers
We have a Young Engineers Club, who meet every Friday.
Visitors from Sir Robert McAlpine have visted our Young Engineers, running a design workshop to help us learn more about Engineering.
