Dates for your diaries:
Thursday 26th March –
Coffee Morning, 9am, School Hall – visiting speaker from CCHF (The Children’s Country Holiday Fund)
Friday 27th March - Class Photos (correct school uniform please)
Monday 30th March and Tuesday 31st March - Parents’ Evenings – an important opportunity for you to meet with your child’s class teacher to discuss progress so far this year.  Sign up sheets will be available are on the glass doors in the office.  If you cannot come into school to sign up, please email the school office ( for an appointment
Thursday 2nd April – Reading Workshop Coffee Morning with Ms Green.  For parents of pupils in Early Years and KS1, but all welcome.  (KS2 Reading Workshop will take place next term)
Thursday 2nd April - Celebration Assembly, 1.45pm, School Hall.  Presentations will include termly Attendance Awards
Thursday 2nd April - School finishes at 2.30pm for the Easter Holidays

The building work for our new office and reception area is really taking shape.  Our Reception class have been busy designing what they would like to see in the small playground in the summer term!  Click on the link below to see some of the children’s ideas.

Book Week 5th March – 11th March

Book Week at St Matthew’s started yesterday on World Book Day with a wonderful dressing up day! The wide variety of book character costumes showed great creativity and imagination.  Thank you to the many parents, carers, family and friends who were able to join our fabulous Book Day Assembly in the afternoon.

Safer Internet Day

Today is Safer Internet Day, please read our latest newsletter to find out more information, including our Parents’ eSafety Workshop after school today at 5pm – all welcome.

Congratulations to our 6 a-side Football Team who won their first football match
last week against a local school.  The players demonstrated excellent team work and sportsmanship that led to a 5-3 victory!  Read more about it in our latest newsletter.IMG_9271

Y3 Super Stone Age Sale – Thursday 12th February

Y3 Stone Age Sale LetterYear 3 have written a letter to the parents, carers and governors of St Matthew’s School and the parishioners of St Matthew’s Church to a ‘Super Stone Age Sale’ during Coffee Morning on Thursday 12th February at 9am.

Congratulations to William in Year 1 who has written a story that will be published in a book!
