Strike – Y1, Y2, Y5, Y6 closed

Year 1, Year 2, Year 5 and Year 6 are closed today, Wednesday 26th March, due to the NUT strike.

School is open for everyone as normal on Thursday 27th March.

You may have noticed that our school lobby has recently been decorated to create a fresh, welcoming feel to pupils, parents and visitors.  Noticeboards and displays will be finished over the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, enjoy the photographs and information on the school lobby screen, take a look at the Book of Praise or sit and read a brand new book donated by GlaxoSmithKline and Save the Children through our partnership with Beanstalk reading volunteers.

Congratulations Mary!

27th February 2014 marked 30 years to the day that Mary Playle started work at St Matthew’s.  Her commitment was celebrated in assembly where Mary was presented with  a gift and beatiful bouquet by Fr Philip on behalf of the school and governors.P1040559
