Bishop of London visit – 18th September

On Friday, the Bishop of London came to St Matthew’s to bless and officially open our new school entrance.  The Bishop enjoyed the singing and drumming performed by our pupils and also spent time looking around our school, talking to pupils, staff, parents and governors.

It was such a happy and memorable occasion that we will all remember for a very long time!

So far today, Freya has raised more than £500!

Partnership with Horbury Bridge

We had a wonderful time yesterday welcoming pupils from Horbury Bridge Academy, Wakefield in Yorkshire, to St Matthew’s.  Class 3 joined us for Key Stage 2 Mass and then spent time with their penpals in Year 6 talking about the similarities and differences between our two schools.

We look forward to strengthening our partnership and friendship in the future!
