We Will Remember Them

Today, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the pupils of St Matthew’s will be observing a two minute silence for Armistice Day which marks the end of the First World War.

Yesterday, pupils in Y1-Y6 participated in a national assembly through a live stream from the Tower of London.  This important service of remembrance involved thousands of pupils all over the United Kingdom.

Year 6 Leavers’ Presentation

Year 6 have started their final week at
St Matthew’s before starting their secondary schools in September.

Today, at the Year 6 Leavers’ Presentation, the children talked to the audience of family and friends about their happy memories of being a pupil at St Matthew’s and their dreams and aspirations for the future.

The drummers, violinists and singers performed beautifully and the singing from everybody in the hall raised the roof!  The class were then presented with atlases and bibles by our Chair of Governors, Father Philip.

Good luck Year 6!
