ICT Club Articles May 2013

Chelsea Football Stadium – Luke Y6

ChelseaIn December we went to Chelsea football stadium to meet Michael Forman to do a project called ETF. It is a special event that only Year 6 can go to and learn about a story called Billy the Kid, which was set in WW2 in Westminster. It is very cool to have a privilege to go to my favourite team’s stadium and it was a wonderful day. We left after assembly and got the tube to Fulham Broadway and walked to the awesome stadium. We also looked around the stadium and got lunch and got to go in the press room.

Habitats – Erika Y4

ICT Club - ErikaAll about the pond – if you go to the pond there will be many creatures to look at. For example you could see ducks, fish or even an otter. The weather usually depends on the weather around it, sometimes the pond makes its own weather. During the winter otters will move, fish will stay underneath the water. Birds will migrate for the winter and everyone (the animals) will come back in the spring or summer.

P1030008The Rainforest – My first fact about the rainforest is that it is very hot. On different parts of trees in the rainforest animals will make it their home at the top birds will make nests.

Swimming – Freya Y4

Making badges 1I go swimming every week at Queen Mothers Sport Centre. I enjoy swimming because I’m quite good at it and my friends are quite good too.  Last week we dived into the big pool. My favourite stroke is backstroke. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to go for two whole weeks, so I can’t wait for next week! My class go to the Queen Mother Sports Centre just after lunch. When  we get to the pool we get changed and then it’s time to get in the pool. I like my teacher a lot and enjoy going to lessons. When we get out the pool it’s time to walk back and go home.

A recount of the visit, by Rashid:

A recount by Chanel:

‘We saw the otters, they were eating some fish. After that we saw some ducks and birds and swans. We had a clipboard, we had to find birds on the clipboard. Then we went somewhere and there was a lady. She showed us the otter’s teeth and the shark’s teeth. They were pointy!’

Passiontide Service

On Monday 25th March, we held a Passiontide Service in Church for members of our local Community. The children sang a range of songs and hymns relating to the seasons of Lent and Easter, and read poems, extracts from stories and dramatised Bible passages. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect and focus on the meaning of this special time in the life of our Church and School.
